Police apprehended Rahul Das from a Chatra forest for shooting constable Ram Sharik Sharma in Khalari. Das, a member of an inter-state criminal gang with cases in multiple districts, was planning to loot sand and stone consignments with accomplices when they fired upon a police patrol.
