‘Swachh Shehar Jodi’ launched to help 200 cities manage solid waste

The government launched the ‘Swachh Shehar Jodi’ programme to help 200 cities effectively manage municipal solid waste. This initiative pairs 72 mentor cities with 200 mentee cities, enabling them to learn and replicate best practices. Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar described it as a structured, outcome-driven mentorship for urban waste management.
