Traffic slows on Mumbai, Nashik highway due to repair and lane closure

Traffic on the Mumbai-Nashik highway near Saket bridge is severely congested due to narrowed lanes and ongoing repair works by MSRDC, causing significant delays for commuters. Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has intervened, suspending an engineer over the project’s shoddy condition and delays since 2019, with completion now targeted for March 2026.
