Power tariff hike approved, pay more from Oct 1

Goa consumers will face higher electricity bills as the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission approved a 4% average annual power tariff hike for five consecutive years, from 2025-26 to 2029-30, effective October 1. This marks the fourth consecutive hike, though lower than initially proposed by the electricity department.
