An Enforcement Directorate probe has been initiated against 29 celebrities for allegedly promoting illegal betting apps. Triggered by complaints of misleading young users, the investigation focuses on endorsements of platforms like Junglee Rummy and 1XBET. The ED is gathering evidence to determine if the celebrities knowingly promoted illegal activities and profited from them, potentially leading to money laundering charges.
