Nagas are the only indigenous people of Nagaland: NSF

The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) asserted that only Nagas are indigenous to Nagaland, reacting to the Rising People’s Party’s (RPP) concern over non-inclusion of “non-Naga indigenous tribes” in police recruitment. The NSF questioned RPP’s definition, stating that calling migrants indigenous undermines the historical sanctity of the land’s original inhabitants.
