105 villages in Supaul district flooded as Kosi water swells

Heavy rainfall in Nepal caused a significant water discharge from the Kosi river. The Birpur barrage opened all 56 gates on Sunday. This led to flooding in 105 villages in Supaul district. Authorities issued warnings and set up relief efforts. Downstream areas are expected to remain safe. The river flow is below danger levels there.
