Ailing Royal Bengal tigress ‘Bijli’ from Chhattisgarh shifted to Gujarat for advanced medical treatment

An ailing eight-year-old Royal Bengal tigress, Bijli, was transported from Raipur to Gujarat’s Vantara Jamnagar Wildlife Rescue and Care Centre for advanced medical treatment. Bijli, suffering from increasing creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels, required specialized diagnostic evaluation unavailable locally. Experts from Vantara and the Chhattisgarh forest department are accompanying her on the Howrah–Ahmedabad Express.
