Jharkhand Health Minister Inspects Cough Syrups Amid National Concerns Over Safety

Following tragic cough syrup incidents in other states, Jharkhand’s Health Minister Irfan Ansari inspected medicine stores in Ranchi. He ordered samples of various cough syrups to be sent for testing to ensure they don’t contain harmful components, with 47 samples seized statewide. The minister also stressed the importance of prescription-only sales for cough syrups.
