Mizoram finishes 40.37% of biometric enrolment of refugees since July end

Mizoram has enrolled 40.37% of the 31,265 Myanmar refugees taking shelter in the state, collecting biometric and biographic data. The process, mandated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, faces challenges like technical issues and weak internet in remote areas. Refugees began arriving in March 2021 after the military coup in Myanmar.
