eSIM scam alert: How fraudsters hijacked Mumbai doctor’s SIM; duped him of nearly Rs 11 lakh

A south Mumbai doctor lost nearly Rs 11 lakh in a new eSIM scam. Scammers tricked him into converting his SIM to an eSIM, then accessed his email and bank accounts. An office boy, Rohan Waghmode, was arrested for receiving part of the defrauded sum in his account, admitting to renting it out to fraudsters.
