Former IPS officer obtains NRC to contest as independent candidate in Araria

Former IPS officer Shivdeep Lande, known as ‘super cop’, is contesting assembly elections from Araria and Jamalpur as an independent candidate after taking voluntary retirement. He obtained a non-resident certificate for Araria, where he previously served as SP, and will file his nomination soon. Lande urges voters to prioritise development over caste and religion.
