Curfew along Meghalaya-Assam boundary

A total curfew is in effect along the Assam-Meghalaya border in West Jaintia Hills on October 16 and 17. This measure aims to prevent any breakdown in law and order. The order restricts movement and gatherings in the disputed Lapangap Village area. Unauthorized processions and assemblies of five or more people are prohibited.
