Migratory birds begin arriving at Chilika; 67 species spotted so far

Chilika Lake is buzzing with the arrival of migratory birds, with wildlife officials already identifying 67 species. These winged visitors, primarily from Northern Eurasia and Siberia, are expected in larger numbers by month-end. To ensure their safety, temporary camps and increased patrolling, including drone surveillance, have been implemented to prevent poaching.
