State plans disaster management training for city school students

Assam is launching the ‘Great Assam School Shakeout Programme 2025’ to boost student safety and disaster readiness. Over seven lakh students in 1,936 schools will participate in earthquake and fire evacuation drills on October 29. This initiative, a partnership with UNICEF, aims to spread vital preparedness knowledge from schools to communities.
