Electors entitled to paid holiday on polling days: EC

Bihar voters will get paid holidays on polling days next month, as announced by the Election Commission. This provision, mandated by the Representation of the People Act, 1951, applies to all employees, including daily wage earners. Employers violating this rule face fines. Similar paid holidays are granted for bypolls on November 11.
