Sonapur cremation site should be named ‘Zubeen Kshetra’: Garima

Late cultural icon Zubeen Garg’s wife, Garima Saikia Garg, proposed naming his cremation site at Kamarkuchi as “Zubeen Kshetra”. This suggestion came during a government committee meeting for the site’s permanent development. Garima emphasized keeping Zubeen’s spirit alive, requesting the site not be called a memorial, and aiming for emotional connection with visitors.
