Air India says fuel control switches of all its Boeing planes checked, ‘no issues found with them’
Following a DGCA directive prompted by the Air India 171 incident in Ahmedabad, Air India and Air India Express completed inspections on the fuel control switch locking mechanisms of their Boeing 787 and 737 fleets. The inspections, initiated voluntarily by Air India before the DGCA mandate, found no issues with the locking mechanisms.
