Anti-Hamas meme: British blogger arrested; UK officers suspect ‘racial hatred’

A British blogger, Pete North, 47, was arrested in Yorkshire for sharing an “anti-Hamas” meme on social media, which also contained offensive remarks about Palestine and Islam. Detained on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred, North questioned the arresting officer’s knowledge of Hamas. He was later released without charge, but remains under investigation.
