Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation granted authority to collect holding tax from Idco areas to boost revenue

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation can now collect holding tax from areas under Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation. This includes industrial clusters and parks. BMC expects an additional Rs 50 crore annually. The new rule is expected to generate Rs 10 crore this financial year. The move will also enable better facilities in Idco areas.
