Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation to divert food waste to piggeries for sustainable management

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation is planning to divert 13 tonnes of daily food waste from processing units to seven piggeries. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on composting centers and transform organic waste into animal feed. The move is expected to contribute to a zero-waste city strategy by reusing waste as a resource.
