Borivli-Thane tunnel project: Proposed extension aims to reduce congestion on Ghodbunder Highway

The state government is considering extending the proposed Borivli-Thane tunnel by approximately 4km to directly connect with the under-construction Saket-Gaimukh Coastal Road. This move aims to ease congestion on the Ghodbunder Highway by diverting outbound traffic seamlessly to key freeways like the Mumbai and Samruddhi highways.
