British children’s author Allan Ahlberg dies at 87

Allan Ahlberg, the celebrated author of over 150 children’s books, passed away at 87. Penguin Random House confirmed the news. Ahlberg, known for classics like “Eat Peach Pear Plum” and “The Jolly Postman”, introduced reading to generations. He collaborated with his wife, Janet Ahlberg, who died in 1994.
