A lone burglar’s attempt to rob the SBI Daltonganj branch on October 1 was thwarted, despite using a gas cutter to breach the vault room. The intruder, who fled when masking DJ music stopped, failed to access the main vault, leaving no valuables lost. Police are investigating the incident.
