CBI special crime branch to probe Tiruppuvanam custodial death case

The CBI’s special crime branch from Delhi will investigate the custodial death of B Ajith Kumar, a security guard allegedly tortured by police in Tiruppuvanam. The Madras High Court has directed the CBI to submit its final report by August 20. This branch also handled the Sathankulam custodial death case.
