Coldrif tragedy: Sresan Pharma shut down, licenses revoked after 24 child deaths

Tamil Nadu has revoked manufacturing licenses and ordered the closure of Sresan Pharmaceuticals following the deaths of over 22 children due to contaminated cough syrup. The company’s unit had over 300 violations, with the syrup found adulterated with poisonous diethylene glycol. The Enforcement Directorate is also investigating alleged money laundering linked to the company.
