Colorado Avalanche add veteran coach Dave Hakstol to revamp power play unit

Colorado Avalanche has a new assistant coach. Dave Hakstol will help improve the team’s power play. Hakstol previously coached Seattle Kraken and Philadelphia Flyers. He led Seattle to the playoffs in 2023. The Avalanche struggled on power play in the 2025 playoffs. General Manager Chris MacFarland calls Hakstol a valuable addition.
