Consumer commission directs TPWODL to pay man Rs 1L for service lapse

A consumer in Sundargarh has been awarded Rs 1 lakh in compensation and a refund of Rs 43,403 with interest by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. This order against Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) follows a complaint about a defective electricity meter and incorrect billing for previous occupant’s dues.
