Varun Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan, navigated Bollywood independently, despite family ties. He reminisced about attending the ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ premiere in London and his desire to watch ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Varun worked as an assistant director and took acting lessons, eventually debuting in ‘Student of the Year’ alongside Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.
