Delhi dog menace: Authorities to catch, relocate 6k strays, bar NGOs from releasing them back, seek govt land for shelters; inside MCD’s action plan
Following a Supreme Court order, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will apprehend approximately 6,000 street dogs, particularly aggressive ones, within six weeks and relocate them to shelters. The MCD has directed Animal Birth Control (ABC) shelters to cease releasing dogs back onto the streets.
