Devotees bid farewell to Goddess Durga

Thousands of devotees gathered along the Brahmaputra river in Dibrugarh on Thursday for the Durga idol immersion, marking the end of four-day Puja festivities. The ceremony, which started at 12:30 pm and continued till late evening, passed off peacefully with elaborate security and safety measures, including CCTV monitoring and power shutdowns.
