Dibrugarh civic body enhances governance with women-led Pouro Sakhi initiative

Dibrugarh, recently upgraded to a municipal corporation, held a key meeting to plan its development roadmap. Discussions centered on expanding the “Pouro Sakhi” program, a women-led initiative. These women, initially collecting property taxes, will soon identify broader local issues, aiming for enhanced service delivery and inclusive urban governance in Assam’s tea capital.
