Drug bust at railway station: 22-year-old arrested with 6 kg opium; Operation reveals rising illicit trade trends in winter
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the Daltonganj railway station, where police confiscated more than 6 kilograms of opium with an estimated value of around Rs 32 lakh. The drugs, traced back to Chatra district, were intended for distribution in Punjab or Rajasthan. Authorities have observed a seasonal uptick in the illegal opium trade.
