Elderly man gets 20-yr RI for raping minor girl

A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by a special Pocso court in Baripada for raping a 9-year-old girl in 2021. The court also imposed a Rs 60,000 fine, with the amount designated for the survivor’s rehabilitation and medical expenses. Additionally, a compensation of Rs 6 lakh was recommended for the victim.
