Ex-zila parishad member held for firing near pandal

Tension erupted on Diwali night in Dhanbad’s Kharkabad when former Zila Parishad member Abdul Mannan, his son, and brother-in-law allegedly disrupted Kali Puja celebrations. Gunfire in the air by Musharraf Alam alias Sheru caused a stampede, injuring three. Police arrested Mannan and seized a firearm, with an investigation underway.
