Festive rush! Indian Railways to operate 13,000 special trains; plans permanent holding areas at 76 stations

Indian Railways is deploying approximately 13,000 special trains to accommodate an estimated 20-30 million passengers during the Diwali and Chhath festival rush. This represents a significant increase from last year. Additionally, permanent holding areas with essential amenities are being established at major stations to enhance passenger experience and curb ticketless travel.
