Hours before President-elect Donald Trump second inauguration, incoming first lady Melania Trump announced the launch of her own cryptocurrency.

“The official Melania meme is live! You can now buy $MELANIA,” he shared on X.

The release of $MELANIA came shortly after Mr. Trump introduced his meme coin, which briefly affected the value of $TRUMP, but then recovered it.

As per its official website, the $MELANIA cryptocurrency is created and tracked on the Solana blockchain.

Meme coins are cryptocurrencies inspired by characters, persons, animals or artwork.
