‘Gastroenteritis’ claims 6 lives in Mizoram since Nov 4: Reports

A suspected gastroenteritis outbreak since November 4 has claimed six lives in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai and Siaha districts. A medical team has collected samples from sick villagers and the water source for testing, with villagers suspecting infected individuals from Myanmar as the cause. Entry points between Mizoram and Myanmar have been temporarily closed.
