Gold on fire, organisations awarding medals shifts to cash prizes

Due to soaring gold prices, the Nani A Palkhivala Memorial Trust has discontinued its two-decade-long tradition of awarding gold medals at 14 leading Indian institutions. The trust, known for recognizing top LLM students at prestigious universities like NLUs and Mumbai University, will now offer a Rs 25,000 cash prize instead.
