Goldsmith booked for cheating 141 grams of Gold in Coimbatore

A goldsmith in Coimbatore, V. Manokaran, is under investigation by the Bazaar police for allegedly defrauding a jewellery shop owner, R. Lakshmi Narasimha, of 141 grams of pure gold. Narasimha entrusted Manokaran with the gold to craft ornaments, but Manokaran failed to return either the gold or the finished jewelry, prompting Narasimha to file a complaint after repeated false excuses.
