Haryana IPS officer ‘suicide’: Wife mentions ‘false FIR’ against head constable as possible trigger; cops probing several theories

A senior Haryana IPS officer died by suicide following an FIR registered in Rohtak against a head constable for alleged extortion. The FIR, which mentioned the IPS officer’s name but not as an accused, claimed the constable demanded money on the officer’s behalf. The officer’s wife has called the FIR ‘false’.
