Health dept approves expansion of Dhanbad, Jamshedpur medical colleges

Jharkhand’s health department greenlit major expansions for medical colleges in Dhanbad and Jamshedpur. Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College will see its MBBS intake surge to 250, with a new 450-bed hospital and enhanced facilities. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College will boost UG, PG, and superspecialty seats, alongside a new health secretariat building.
