Himesh Reshammiya’s discovery Ranu Mondal, who once won hearts with her Lata Mangeshkar renditions, now lives in a dirty home with no food
Remember Ranu Mondal? She became an overnight sensation in 2019 after a video of her singing Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at a railway station went viral. With what many called Maa Saraswati’s blessing, she won hearts across the nation and received immense praise for her soulful rendition of Lata Mangeshkar’s classics. Soon after, Bollywood composer Himesh Reshammiya offered her a song in his film Happy Hardy and Heer, and Ranu’s story of transformation inspired millions.
