Hyderabad startup Stardour successfully test fires India’s 1st Hydrogen-Oxygen propulsion engine

Hyderabad-based spacetech startup Stardour has successfully test-fired India’s first hydrogen and oxygen propulsion engine, developed in-house, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. This sustainable engine will power Stardour’s orbital transfer vehicle, Lucas, with a maiden launch expected in the third quarter of 2027.
