The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a five-day alert for northern Bihar, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning. Several districts experienced torrential rainfall in the last 24 hours, with Kishanganj recording the highest at 30cm.
