Made-in-Ibiza by Charo Ruiz, the brand that agrees with Queen Letizia and Taylor Swift

Charo Ruiz’s Made-in-Ibiza proposals have become a benchmark for many celebrities around the world. From Queen Sofía, through Taylor Swift or models such as Heidi Klum or Alessandra Ambrosio, they have fallen for a firm that reinterprets, in a spirit of sophistication, the fabulous creations with an Ibizan essence.

Their designs stand out for having a very defined DNA, a DNA that was born with the aim of bringing a breath of fresh air to the world of fashion. To do this, from the first moment they opted for the use of noble materials, all without giving up the best quality standards. The ultimate goal is to value the beauty and power of the feminine.

His vaporous designs in voile -a delicate cotton-, with lace and guipure that is manufactured especially for the label, have crossed borders. Since the brand began its internationalization process at the beginning of the last decade, the family brand has managed to seduce such relevant retailers and e-tailers in the industry as Net-à-Porter, Joseph, Harrods or Harvey Nichols, among others. others and this despite maintaining, and valuing, their family business spirit. “I remember breastfeeding my children in the changing room of my stand during fairs and, now, they are the ones who run the company thirty years later,” admits Charo. “Reconciling your passion with your family is not an easy task. Sometimes you can’t go as fast as you would like and you have to arm yourself with a lot of patience, organization and help », he points out.

Each dress is made with a work of between three and five hours. Being such a traditional process, the manufacturing has to be in Ibiza or very close to the island. These are “very complex productions, with many cuts; that need workshops and very expert hands in sewing, we cannot go very far »says the designer of Sevillian origin.

White, of course, is revealed as the leading color of its proposal, although it also coexists in the firm’s repertoire with black, vitaminized shades and fascinating prints. From his latest ‘Solar Broderie’ resort collection , a brilliant solar color stands out, reminding us of the first rays of all that is good and positive to come.

The garments made of 100% cotton with guipure finishes allow a spectacular movement, they seem to dance by themselves. Also key to the brand’s silhouette are the deep necklines that expose the shoulders, the sleeves worked with gathers and ruffles, the maxi dresses, the flowing tunics with an oversized silhouette and the asymmetrical lengths. All this, under the imaginary of friendly luxury characteristic of the company: light, free and even naive.
