India ramps up fight against dengue and malaria outbreaks; Union Health Ministry issues directives urging heightened vigilance

Due to heavy rains and floods, the Union Health Ministry has alerted states about dengue and malaria. Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda wants states to act fast and send plans in 20 days. Local bodies should educate people. Hospitals must have enough medicine and beds. India has greatly reduced malaria cases.
