Jharkhand’s Smart Meters and AB Cables Reduce Power Theft and Losses

Jharkhand’s power distribution company, JBVNL, has significantly reduced electricity theft and commercial losses in Ranchi and other areas. This progress is attributed to the installation of smart meters and the conversion to aerial bunch cables. Consequently, AT&C losses in Ranchi have decreased, and theft cases have dropped substantially, with further improvements expected as the initiatives expand.
