Jiten Choudhary Highlights Disparities in Tribal Land Rights Across India

Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch leader Jiten Choudhary criticized the dismal rate of ‘van pattas’ (forest land rights) distribution to tribal families nationwide, including Jharkhand. He highlighted that out of approximately one crore applications, only a fraction have been approved, leaving many landless tribals without a livelihood.
