Justice Soumen Sen to take oath as chief justice of Meghalaya HC on October 8

Justice Soumen Sen is scheduled to be sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya on Wednesday. President Droupadi Murmu appointed him following a Supreme Court collegium recommendation. He will assume office after the swearing-in, replacing the retired Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji, with Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew currently officiating.
